Stop Fighting Your Basement Floor

Basement concrete is cold, dusty, and prone to moisture problems. It stains easily, grows mold in damp conditions, and makes the entire space feel unfinished no matter how much you invest in the walls and ceiling above it.

Our professional epoxy coating creates a seamless, moisture-resistant barrier that seals the concrete, blocks vapor transmission, and gives you a bright, beautiful floor that turns your basement into truly livable space.

  • Seals concrete against moisture vapor and dampness
  • Eliminates concrete dust and musty basement odors
  • Brightens dark spaces with a high-gloss reflective finish
  • Resists mold and mildew growth on the floor surface

Engineered for New England Basements

New England basements deal with seasonal moisture, spring thaw, and high humidity. Our epoxy system is specifically designed to handle these conditions.

Before we coat your floor, we perform a thorough moisture test. If needed, we apply a moisture-mitigating primer that blocks vapor transmission from below the slab, ensuring your epoxy coating bonds properly and lasts for decades.

  • Pre-installation moisture testing on every project
  • Moisture-mitigating primer when needed
  • Seamless surface prevents water from pooling or seeping
  • 10-year product guarantee covers delamination

Why Epoxy Is the Best Basement Floor Solution

Compared to carpet, tile, or vinyl plank, epoxy is the most durable, moisture-resistant, and low-maintenance option for basement floors.

Moisture Resistant

Unlike carpet or laminate, epoxy will not absorb water, grow mold, or delaminate from seasonal moisture. It is built for below-grade conditions.

Brightens Dark Spaces

The high-gloss finish reflects overhead lighting, making your basement feel brighter, bigger, and more inviting without adding extra fixtures.

Easy Maintenance

Sweep and mop — that is it. No special cleaners, no re-sealing, no worrying about stains from spills or pet accidents. Simple and hassle-free.

Durable Surface

Handles dropped weights, rolling chairs, heavy foot traffic, and kids playing without scratching, cracking, or wearing thin. Built to last 25+ years.

Basement Epoxy Questions

Common questions about epoxy flooring for basements, answered by our team.

It depends on the severity. We perform a calcium chloride moisture test on every basement before coating. If moisture levels are within acceptable range, we proceed with our standard system. If levels are elevated, we apply a moisture-mitigating primer that blocks vapor transmission before the epoxy layer. However, if you have active water intrusion (standing water, visible leaks), those issues must be resolved before epoxy can be applied. We will advise you honestly during your free estimate.
We handle all preparation. The process includes removing any existing paint or sealers, diamond grinding the concrete to create a proper surface profile, filling cracks and divots, and cleaning thoroughly. If there are old adhesives from carpet or tile, we grind those off as well. You just need to clear the floor of furniture and stored items before we arrive. We bring all the equipment and handle the rest.
Epoxy itself does not add insulation, so the floor temperature matches the concrete slab below. However, many customers find that epoxy feels warmer underfoot than bare concrete because it eliminates the dusty, porous texture that makes concrete feel especially cold. For maximum warmth, pair epoxy with area rugs in seating areas or consider radiant heat if you are doing a full basement remodel. Epoxy is fully compatible with radiant heat systems.
Light foot traffic is safe within 24 hours of the final clear coat application. You can move furniture back in after 48 hours. For heavy items like gym equipment, we recommend waiting 72 hours. The epoxy reaches full chemical cure in approximately 7 days, but you can use the space normally well before then.
